Reef Monkey started because I’ve always lived in two worlds at once — the engineer who builds things for fun, and the ocean‑addicted human who’s spent years diving, surfing, and swimming in places that don’t forgive weak gear. I’ve lived all over the world, from Guantánamo Bay, Cuba to Okinawa, and the ocean has been the one constant. When you spend that much time in the water, you learn fast what you can trust and what you can’t.

Eventually I got tired of equipment that wasn’t built for the sand, salt, and chaos we all know too well. So I started making my own: smarter, tougher, and personal enough to feel like part of your kit.
